Roku removed Channel PEAR another popular Free streaming TV channel from their platform. Not that it was unexpected as the company has been clamping down on channels that offered content that received copyright complaints.

So where does this leave those who were Channel PEAR fans or those that love to watch free content without paying a large sum of money for cable TV replacement streaming channels?

Free TV has always been what has made the Roku platform wildly popular for so many. Now that some of these choices are being slowly eliminated in favor of ad driven free TV channels, along with paid channels, it's getting harder and harder for those that chose Roku to be their number one go to media streaming device to watch unlimited free TV.

Fortunately, there are still many really good Free channels on Roku, but most of them do come with cost of having to watch a few ads. A small price to pay really to help support a company that has given many of us the freedom from expensive monthly cable TV bills.

Popular channels that fit this description and yet still provide legal content are Pluto TV, Pandora, PBS and a long list of others which you can find on our FREE Roku Channels list.

What about those that paid for a Channel PEAR account? All is not lost. Just log into your PEAR account from your computer and you can export the M3U links of your favorite channels. Here are the instructions. Then create your own playlist and use the M3U channel on your Roku to watch your playlist.

Be sure to bookmark this handy web app to quickly add m3u popular players and backup your favorite playlists.

Here are the full step by step instructions on how to create a playlist from your added Channel PEAR channels.

TIP: Once you export the list of channels using the instructions linked above. Take the KODI URL they give you and shorten it with TinyURL.com That way when you type it in there is less of a chance for typos.

If you are using the black m3u player it takes a minute or two for your channel list to first load. So you need to be patient and sometimes wait a few minutes. Once you see your channel icons and you click a channel and if nothing happens, quickly click the right arrow on your Roku remote and choose HLS as the format. You will need to do this each time you change channels on your PEAR imported channels m3u playlist.

Another option, is download the PEAR Fire TV app for your Android Devices. This will let you access the PEAR channels directly from your account.

Remember, the Internet is a wonderful place and when one door closes, another one always seems to open.
