Beware of Amazon 3rd Party Sellers

That To Good To Be True Deal On Amazon... May Be Too Good To Be True

With the Holidays Approaching, These Tips Can Keep you From Getting Burned On Amazon by 3rd Party Sellers

Shopping on Amazon is generally a safe experience, in fact, they are one of the best online sellers and they stand behind their products and sellers 100%.

When you buy from Amazon you may be buying items that are actually sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Or, you could be buying from a third party seller that ships their items to Amazon and uses their FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) for the orders.

Example of an Item Sold by Monli and Fulfilled by Amazon

Should you ever need to deal with a third party seller regarding an order, be sure that any communications go through the Amazon user control panel. Don't let them direct you to communicate through another email address, website or phone number because this is against Amazon's policy and seller agreement.

If a problem comes up with an order you placed, always contact the seller right away. If the item arrives damaged, you only have 14 days to report it broken or damaged.

Remember you have up to 30 days where you can send the item back without any reason and get your money back. Be aware, if you opened the package and the item is not broken, should the package go back to the seller in any condition other than new, you can not only be charged with a 50% restocking fee, you are also responsible for shipping.

If the item goes back in new condition, the restocking fee is 20%.

Sometimes a seller may send out a pre-paid shipping label to expedite a return. Don't assume just because you received a label you will not be charged for shipping. Sometimes the seller will simply deduct the price of shipping right from your refund.

If you buy something and later change your mind, it can cost you. If it is the wrong item, or was broken or damaged in shipping the seller pays for everything and it should not cost you a cent.

Always review a 3rd party sellers ratings before purchasing. Always be extra careful with out of the country sellers who will state their shipping time is longer than 30 days. Sometimes these are fly be night sellers and this can get them past the Amazon 30 day money back guarantee and they will never ship your order. If they don't ship your order, you will still get you money back because Amazon always makes it right. It just may take a little extra longer before you get your money.

Amazon is really a safe place to buy from, take an extra few seconds to read some of their seller feedback reviews and see how long they have been selling on Amazon before you click the checkout now button.
