Roku Adds More Great Channels

YouTube Roku Channel

Roku ends the year with an official YouTube channel. YouTube has been one of the most requested channels for a long time in the forums and on Roku's Facebook page. Now that there is finally a YouTube channel available, this will fill a huge gap in the impressive list of both Public and Private Roku channels.

Currently only Roku 3 owners can install the new Roku YouTube channel although they will be adding support for more models very soon. The My VideoBuzz channel continues to be an option for owners that currently can't get the new YouTube channel on their Roku.

Artkick while not as well know as some of the other new Roku Channels recently released, will turns your Roku into an interactive picture frame. This channel allows your Android and Apple mobile devices to act as a remote to play photos along with captions right on your television screen creating a virtual art gallery right on your wall.

To Add these Channels to Your Roku

*Even though a Cable Sub may be required to access some content on a few of these channels, they do offer quite a bit of non subscriber Free content as well. Hopefully as Roku's customer base keeps growing, content providers will see the value in adding even more free content to these channels that will not require a cable subscription. Current Roku models may be required for access to some of these channels.
