Subscription television always did manage to have several cable channels that were quite interesting and watched a lot. But that was still a sorry excuse for the small percentage of channels on a platform that likes to boast they carry 100+ channels. And they charged accordingly which was reflected in the monthly bill.

Here's What the Beta Research Cable Network Interest Study Revealed

This last March 2022, with 1,390 multichannel subscribers a study was conducted to determine which cable TV channels were really watched by both cord cutters and subscribers. The results were quite interesting.

Here Are the Channels That Are Watched The Most On Cable

The most sought-after and watched cable channels include the following.

Comedy Central
Discovery
Disney Channel
Food Network
FX
History
National Geographic

According to beta research the most popular cable channels were FX and Discovery. These can be found and subscribed to on Discovery+ and Disney.

Adult TV Channels like Playboy TV and others are also popular on cable TV. But these can be streamed for far less each month by signing up to them directly, rather than subscribing through cable or satellite TV providers.
