Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit Now Available on Roku

With Roku OS 9.4 Roku Rolls Out a Welcome Update for 4K Roku Owners

Apple AirPlay 2 is a great way to stream Internet movies and TV shows to Roku from Apple devices. Apple HomeKit is used for Siri's voice control with a Roku using the Apple Home app.

After this update, all three voice control systems from Google, Amazon, and Apple will be supported on Roku.

Which Roku Models Support Apple AirPlay

The OS 9.4 Update has been rolling out recently with the Apple AirPlay 2 update now also on the way.

If you own one of these models, you should receive an update for your Roku shortly that will enable both Apple AirPlay2 and HomeKit.

Roku Smart Soundbar
Roku Streaming Stick Plus
Roku Premiere

The Apple TV App is another Roku app that's available for Roku users. You can add it here and watch both Free and paid content.

Anyone who purchased an Apple device is entitled to a free one year trial to this streaming service. Apple TV Plus normally costs 5/month. Apple has extended the free trial until Feb 1, 2021.
