Here is what Philo's Live TV Streaming Channel Will Offer

Today Philo CEO, Andrew McCollum announced Philo would no longer be offering two separate channel packages begging on May 6, 2019. And only continue to offer the more expensive all-inclusive channel package that costs $20/month.

There is also some good news for existing and new customers who want to try Philo up until this date. If you like your older less expensive package you get to keep it. And new customers who sign up before the deadline can also keep the less expensive plan as well.

After May 6, Philo will then offer only the $20/month plan for anyone that wants to sign-up.

You have to give the company credit, because while many other streaming services have been raising their prices, Philo still continued to keep their top tier package the same. Even though they could have easily used this as an excuse to do so.

Philo continues to be one of the best deals going for those that don't watch sports or a lot of news channels and still enjoy watching Live TV. Their LIVE streaming service is available on Roku, Apple TV and Fire TV.

Here is Andrew's Announcement on Reddit.

"Hi, Andrew here, CEO of Philo. I wanted to let you all know about an upcoming change to Philo, explain some of the thinking behind it, and answer any questions you might have. Starting May 6, we will move to only offering our $20 package — the 58 channel package — to new subscribers. For those who are already subscribed and anyone who subscribes before that date, nothing will change — you'll continue to have the same package and same price options you have today.

At Philo, we care deeply about creating the best TV experience possible at an affordable price. Since we launched 18 months ago, most of the other companies in our space have raised their prices, in some cases multiple times. We didn't want to do that. Still, when we looked at all of the costs of operating Philo — which increase over time — consolidating into a single $20 package was the best way for us to maintain the same offering we have today without raising prices or having to cut back in places we strive to excel, like our customer support. Again, nothing is changing for anyone who has already subscribed by May 6 — you'll keep the package you have and will continue to be able to switch between our two existing packages.
