Philo Keeps Adding More TV Channels

Philo the inexpensive live streaming TV service just added three new channels to their $20/month streaming TV package.

Philo really made a splash when they came upon the cord-cutting scene. They were one of the first streaming services to completely break the mold and instead of offering expensive sports and news channels bundled in their package which drove the price way up. They offered a package of channels geared more towards the mainstream cable TV channels that many people like to watch.

Philo recently added aspireTV, Revolt, and UPtv to their more expensive package.

Philo basically offers 2 plans, the $16/month budget plan which comes with 40+ channels and their upgraded $20/month plan which now has 50+ channels.

Philo recently added a much nicer guide to their Roku channel. The days of needing to go to your PC to find and schedule your shows are now over and their new guide works really well.

upTV is a geared more towards family shows. On this channel, you'll be able to find shows like Home Improvement, America's Funniest Home Videos, and Gilmore Girls.

Aspire TV is a network launched by NBA Basketball legend Magic Johnson. This channel is all about celebrating black culture and how it reflects in both experience and lifestyle.

Revolt which was founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music orientated Hip Hop channel.

Philo continues to make their streaming service more appealing to a wider audience and if they stay on track, they may make a dent in the market share live streaming offerings from cable TV giants DirecTV and Dish Network.

Their DVR Service can be used to record live television and your shows will be saved for 30 days.

Another nice feature is you have up to a 3-day window to record a show even after it's aired. This lets you still record something even if you forgot to add it to your list up to three days later.
