The Race is On - YouTube TV Just Added More Channels
All these new streaming TV service providers may seem like it's just too much. But after having only a couple of providers to choose from to watch TV for many years there is a silver lining.
New streaming TV providers like Hulu Live and YouTube Live are doing something that has not been done in a very long time. They are lighting a fire under the cable and satellite TV markets that have dominated the industry forever, causing them to lose subscribers and are driving prices down.
Subscribers are dropping expensive cable TV packages at a record pace, and meanwhile we now have many more new and less expensive streaming TV services that are happy to step up and help those that want to save some money and yet hold onto some their favorite live TV channels.
Skinny bundles are here to stay, and as more and more providers start fighting over your monthly subscription dollars, the skinnier or less expensive they may get. Plus you can cancel anytime. Remember when the only way you could watch Satellite TV was by signing up for a two year contract? Those days are over!
YouTube TV in order to stay competitive with Hulu just upped their channels and now offer a total of 43 channels for the same $35/month fee. This is good for 6 accounts per household.
YouTube TV is one of the few streaming TV services to offer and was one of the first to include all the major networks ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, plus entertainment and news networks from FOX and NBCU.
YouTube also has the AMC Bundle of network channels which include IFC, BBC America, AMC, Sundance and WETV. Something Hulu live TV service at $39.99/month does not yet have.
Sports fans will be happy with ESPN, Science Fiction fans will be happy to see SyFy, plus they also recently also added Telemundo and Universo to the YouTube TV channel lineup as well.
