Big News, for Xfinity Internet Users!

Comcast Xfinity has just leveled up your internet game!

Comcast Increases Interent Speed FREE

πŸ“ˆ As of last week, you're surfing the web at lightning-fast speeds, and guess what? It's on the house! πŸ’₯

Emily Waldorf, the Senior VP for consumer internet services, spilled the tea that this is just the latest in a string of speed boosts Comcast has been dropping to keep up with your ever-growing internet needs. 🌐

Some of you lucky ducks have already seen the change in your home Wi-Fi, while others might need to upgrade their router to a model that can handle the heat. πŸ“‘

With a whopping 30 million residential broadband customers as of late 2023, Comcast is staying tight-lipped about how many of you have been upgraded and how many need new gear. But here's what we do know:

πŸ” Your Xfinity internet speed is about to get a serious glow-up! 🌟

Here's the lowdown on the new speeds for each plan:
πŸ”Ή Connect (starting at $25/month): 75Mbps to 150Mbps
πŸ”Ή Connect More (starting at $35): 200Mbps to 300Mbps
πŸ”Ή Fast (starting at $45): 400Mbps to 500Mbps
πŸ”Ή Xfinity Prepaid ($45 for the first 30 days, no contract): 50Mbps to 200Mbps

And yes, upload speeds have gotten a boost too, from 10Mbps to 20Mbps on all plans! πŸ“ˆπŸ“ˆ

So, will you notice the difference? πŸ€”

If you're on the Connect or Prepaid plans, oh yes, you'll feel the need for speed! Even cord-cutters might see clearer images when they're binging their fave shows. πŸ“Ί

But according to James Willcox, senior electronics editor for Consumer Reports, for most people, it's probably not a huge difference. "200Mbps is probably adequate for most households," he said.

Wondering if your router can handle the new speeds? 🧐

If you're connected with a direct, wired connection, you're good to go. But if you're like most people and connect via Wi-Fi, your wireless home router and network need to be able to support the faster speeds.

If you're leasing an Xfinity modem-router that can't handle the new speeds, Comcast will hit you up with an email asking if you want an upgraded device at no additional cost (you'll just need to return the old equipment). πŸ“©

So, buckle up, Xfinity Fam! Your internet just got a whole lot faster! πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€
