In a recent announcement from Amazon:
"Fire TV owners in the U.S. will soon be able to access tens of thousands of premium music videos from major and independent labels — no sign-ups, subscriptions, or fees required. Beginning rollout today, music videos — powered by XITE — will be available from artists on the Billboard Hot 100, including Taylor Swift, Drake, Harry Styles, Lizzo, Karol G, and Luke Combs, as well as a back catalog of classics from any genre. New content will be added daily, expanding the collection of music videos."
Along with music videos, the company now provides Free news on its Fire TV platform.
How to Watch Music Videos on a Fire TV
Step 1. There are a couple different ways to access the music videos on your Fire TV.
a. Using a Fire TV voice remote access the App Store and then speak the following voice commands. "Alexa, find Music Videos", or "Alexa search Music Videos" then in search results choose "Music Videos on Fire TV."
b. From the Fire TV Home screen look for the Music Videos from the row of icons to open app details.
Step 2. Then tap on the "Get" app to download.
Step 3. Once the app has finished downloading then, choose "Open". Then browse for and select the music videos you would like to watch.
Amazon now gives Fire TV owners several categories of News to choose from. To access the News feature on your Fire TV, follow the steps listed below.
Step 1. Navigate to the "Home Screen" by choosing the "Home" icon on the Fire TV Nav bar. Or, on the Alexa Voice remote you can simply press the "Home" button.
Step 2. Then use your remote to choose one of the following News Categories:
Business & Finance News
Entertainment News
Gaming News & Esports
App icons may be in a completely different Row or in a different position in the same row. This is because the Fire TV Icons can move around and they may not always be in the same spot. This is based on which icons see the most use. This way an app you use all the time is faster and easier to access, and you don't need to scroll to the bottom of the apps list just to find it.
Step 3. Finally, choose a News category, and then any News content tiles to begin watching the news.
