Roku's New Update Offers More Personal Streaming



Software Updates have been plentiful on the Roku Platform lately

Instead of bug fixes, this latest Roku OS 11 software update offers some cool new features for both their hardware and also their free streaming app.

Here's what's included that will now make using your Roku more enjoyable than ever.





Roku Photo Streams,


Turn your Roku into a digital photo gallery with Photo Streams. Upload your favorite images and you can turn these into a Roku screensaver. You can even share these screensavers with your Roku-owning friends or family.


New Speech Clarity and Other Audio Enhancements


Automatic speech clarity - This automatical detects and enhances dialog, so movies and shows are easier to hear. This should help eliminate the "What did they say?" questions from family members that may be hearing impaired. Clear sound is a welcome Roku upgrade.

Extra sound modes for Roku Streambars and speakers - Use your Roku remote and press the * button to bring up additional sound modes. These now include Standard, Dialogue, Movie, and Music.

Audio/Video sync - This is for the mobile app, either connected to your Roku player or Streambar. It let's you calibrate and preciscly dial in the perfect audio sync.


Improved Live TV Mode


This adds recently watched Live TV programs and news content to watch to the Home Screen Live TV menu.
