WURL is Building a Superhighway for FAST TV Channels

Dynamically changing the way to watch streaming TV

WURL is constantly innovating to create better, smarter and more efficient ways to deliver content to consumers

WURL will make it easier to make streaming content providers to roll out their content to streamers. The company does this by making it easier for content providers to add, manage and monitize their content in front of a wider audience on multiple platforms.

And their large worldwide user base spans 50 different countries. This provides a great opportunity for both content providers and also streaming TV consumers to access and watch content from multiple providers.

What is a FAST Channel

A FAST Channel, or Global FAST Pass as WURL calls it, is an on-ramp for content providers to get in front of a worldwide audience. Without the added overhead, of maintaining and developing their own montiezed streaming platform.

Per Sean Doherty, Jr., COO, of Wurl: “At Wurl, we are constantly innovating to create better, smarter and more efficient ways to deliver content to consumers. Our goal is to minimise the bottom-line costs associated with launching a streaming service, making it easier and faster for our customers to get on with the business of monetising their content.”

“By integrating with Streamers globally, Wurl has created a superhighway for FAST channels,” said Sean Doherty, Jr., COO at Wurl, in a statement. “Global FAST Pass provides the lowest possible barrier to entry–technically, operationally and commercially–thanks to end-to-end connectivity, monetization, security and reporting. With Global FAST Pass, our customers are building their FAST businesses at Internet speed. And together, Wurl and our partners are laying the foundation of what will become the Internet of TV.”

With a global reach already to 300+ million televisions, the company has already partnered with some major TV studios. They include, A+E Networks, AMC Networks, Bloomberg, BBC Studios, CNN, Reuters and Sony. And they have over 1200 streaming channels on media players and smart televisions. Including but not limited to Amazon, Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Rakuten, Twitch and VIZIO.
