Redbox Inks Deal With Roku $5 Credit for Certain Buyers

With this new deal, Redbox hopes to expand their reach to more cord-cutters

In a new agreement with Roku, Redbox has signed a deal to further their brand to millions of Roku customers. Once known for those cute DVD vending machines placed outside drugstores and other retail establishments. Redbox is now fully onboard to cater to the streaming TV market.

With DVDs becoming much less popular as each year goes by. Like Netflix, which also built their initial business on DVD sales by mail, Redbox is moving their business into the future by providing streaming TV on many platforms.

What this Deal Means for Roku Owners

Beginning now and through the middle of 2022, Redbox will offer a $5 code towards movie rentals from their Roku streaming channel for any new Roku purchased only at Walmart.

Receiving your credit is easy. All that's needed is to download and install the Redbox app on your new qualifying Roku and the codes will be immediately available for use.

FREE Content on Redbox

Redbox offers 100 Free Ad Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channels and thousands of free movies are available to watch with the Redbox Ad Supported Video on Demand (AVOD) service.

This month viewers can stream for free Hunter Killer starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman, Enders Game starring Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield, the classic Notre Dame Football movie Rudy, hit drama Big Fish starring Ewan McGregor, and 90s teen romantic comedy Can’t Hardly Wait starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.
