Roku Just Announced for Pre-Order a New Updated 4K Roku Express

As 4K Movies and Shows are becoming more widely available, Roku just announced an affordable media streamer capable of playing 4K content.

A new 4K Roku Express is on the way soon. Today they released it for pre-order and this will be a great way to watch 4K content on a wide range of Roku channels without breaking the bank.

While this newer model will replace the Roku Premiere, it will still have an affordable price just shy of $40.

This latest Roku media streamer will come with updated hardware and onboard their brand new Roku OS 10.0 already installed. It's not due until mid-May, but it will ship with an updated processor which offers better performance than the model it will replace. Besides 4K, it also supports the following video formats: HDR, HDR10, and HDR10+

One of the best additional features we are excited about is both it's both dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and it also comes with an Ethernet port built-in. But it won't accept a standard Ethernet cable, rather it uses a microUSB Ethernet cable adapter.

In addition, Roku also just released a brand new remote that addressed one of the biggest complaints with their headphone capable remotes was battery life. Their new Roku Voice Remote Pro now comes with rechargeable batteries. Just plug it into any USB Port with the included cable.

If you don't have a USB port handy, just buy one of these which plugs into a standard AC outlet and gives you a USB port to plug in your phone or other USB charging devices anywhere you need one.

In addition, this new remote also features personal shortcut buttons, a lost remote finder which will beep when a button is pressed on supporting Roku media streamers. This remote also supports Private Listening, but you need to purchase headphones separately.

Finally, another feature that their customers will appreciate are customizable buttons. These are buttons you can program that can quickly launch your favorite Roku channels.
