Apple TV+ Free Trial Extended Again
First Apple Offered a One Year Free Trial of Apple TV+
Late last year, Apple exteneded everyone who was on the one-year trial to February with no payments due until March. Apple just did it again, now they extended the free trial until July 2021.
This means if your free Trial to Apple TV+ was to expire in November, you get to keep watching it free until July of 2021.
Apple has been busy adding more original content to their streaming service. They wanted to hold on to as many subscribers as possible and by offering an extended free trial it will avoid the large number of cancelations and hopefully keep people watching a little longer.
As it is right now, there is not all that much content available to watch. But Apple plans on adding more content in the next few months. Their hope is that by extending the free trial longer, more people will get a chance to see some of the new content and this may be enough for them to keep paying for their streaming TV service.
The 12/month free trial is still in effect for anyone buying a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or iPod. So if you purchased one of these devices over the holidays be sure to sign-up and take advantage of this offer.
You never know, they may extend it once again and it could easily turn into a two year Apple TV+ free trial.
How to Get a One Year Free Trial to Apple TV+
1. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV, open the TV app. You can also visit tv.apple.com on a Mac or PC and sign-up from there.
2. You should automatically get a message letting you know that the one-year free trial is available. If not, open an original show and wait for the message to appear.
3. If you recently purchased an eligible Apple device click on Enjoy 1 Year Free. Otherwise it will show as a 7/day free trial.
4. Continue and confirm your subscription. You won't be charged until the free trial is over. So if you don't plan on keeping it, be sure and set a reminder on your email or another app to show a couple days before the free trial is going to expire.
