Netflix To Cancel Subscriptions No Longer Used
The Largest Streaming Company Netflix and a Friend to Cord Cutters Has Your Back
Everyone hates paying monthly bills, and to make matters worse, paying for something month after month that you don't use only adds insult to injury.
Now Netflix has a plan for this. They just adopted a new policy that will automatically terminate your account for no activity after two years.
While two years seems like a very long time to pay for something you never use, after a year Netflix will send you a notice letting you know.
Maybe their message could say something along the lines of this: Hey Dumb*** you've now been paying for our service for a year and have yet to use it. And if you are dumb enough to keep on paying us for another year and haven't watched a thing. Don't worry, next year at this time, we'll do you a solid and terminate your account for you automatically because you're either too stupid or lazy to do it yourself.
All kidding aside, it's actually nice that Netflix cares enough about their customers to take it into their own hands and even risk losing money by canceling inactive user accounts from customers that are so busy they forget they are paying for something they have not used in a long time.
And this probably happens a lot more than you think.
Here's What Eddy Wu, from Netflix Product Innovation had to say about their new feature:
"You know that sinking feeling when you realize you signed up for something but haven't used it in ages? At Netflix, the last thing we want is people paying for something they're not using.
So we're asking everyone who has not watched anything on Netflix for a year since they joined to confirm they want to keep their membership. And we'll do the same for anyone who has stopped watching for more than two years. Members will start seeing these emails or in app notifications this week. If they don't confirm that they want to keep subscribing, we'll automatically cancel their subscription. If anyone changes their mind later, it's really easy to restart Netflix. These inactive accounts represent less than half of one percent of our overall member base, only a few hundred thousand, and are already factored into our financial guidance.
We've always thought it should be easy to sign up and to cancel. So, as always, anyone who cancels their account and then rejoins within 10 months will still have their favorites, profiles, viewing preferences and account details just as they left them. In the meantime, we hope this new approach saves people some hard earned cash.
Along with this Netflix sends out a lot of helpful emails almost weekly letting their subscribers know how much great stuff is on their platform.
Netflix Also Informs Subscribers of New Content By Email
Pretty much every week sometimes more we receive an email from Netflix letting us know about new and popular content. From the email each show or movies has a link to let you access your Netflix account and add a title to your watch list for later viewing.
We do enjoy these emails and have found them to be very helpful for finding new content we may have otherwise missed. If you are a Netflix subscriber and have not been receiving these emails, check your mail spam folder as they may have been accidentally redirected there.
RSS Feed From Netflix To Find Popular and New Content
We built a page here on mkvXstream using Netflix's RSS feed that automatically updates new content and top 100 popular shows and movies on Netflix.
It is a nice list to browse through when you're looking for new stuff to watch. And there never seems to be a shortage of content on this Netflix.
It's ironic that ever since we cut the cord, we watch a lot more great content on Netflix, than we ever did on cable TV. All commercial free and at a fraction of the cost.

This Huge List of Netflix Codes Will Help You Find Everything Hidden In Their Library
Netflix's library of content is HUGE! And just like a well stocked library, they even have their own Dewey Decimal System to help you find movies and TV shows.
Not everyone knows this, but Netflix uses codes to categorize all their movies, documentaries, and TV shows by genres or subject matter.
We have put together a long list of codes that can help you find content listed on their site from a web browser which is not always easy to find.
It will let you find every title in their vast catalog by category and add content to your Watch List.
