Here's What the DeepNude AI App Does

This app was built as a spoof for fun and to hopefully make a couple of bucks. And at the time the DeepNude developers probably had no idea that what they built would inadvertently open Pandora's box. Or how quickly this app would take off.

This app works by editing an image of a person using Artificial Intelligence. (AI) strips off the clothing and shows a photo of the person in the picture completely naked.

Sounds pretty crazy huh? Apparently the Internet loved it and this app quickly became a viral sensation and soon people worldwide were downloading and using this app everywhere.

The response was so great, it even caused the developer's servers to go crash several times.

No doubt all that fame and even threats took their toll and caused the DeepNude developer to take down the app from their website. And they even offered refunds in some cases. On their Twitter page they summarized why they removed their DeepNude app.

Unfortunately the scammers seizing on the popularity of this app have popped up all over the Internet and also YouTube claiming to have this app available for download. But they mostly all contain links to fake apps that contain adware, spyware, viruses or other malware that can steal your data or corrupt your device.

They even went as far as creating copycat websites. Which claim to let you download the app even outranking the official developer's website in Google Search.

Be extra careful the real address to the Original DeepNude Website is this >> https://www.deepnude.com/ the website that ends in .co and not .com is an obvious fake site.

Here is the ironic part, there was never an Android DeepNude apk ever released by the developer. So all the links out there claiming to let you download the DeepNude apk are spoofs. Just some shady con job trying to trick you into downloading God knows what.

The funny part is even when the app was up and running the photos it generated were not really that great. A lot of the reviewers said they were not happy with the results. Maybe checking out their own selfies, but that's neither here nor there.

Even though some sites try their best to convince you their version of the app is real, or they hacked it to work for free be very careful. And we would recommend against using it period unless the developers decide to release their app again.

So don't fall for all those fake DeepNude apps and sites claiming to have this app. They are all most likely trojan horses. Once you download them and give them permissions they can cause complete havoc on your Android, PC or other devices.

It may have been a novelty while it lasted but the party is over. There is no more official DeepNude apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. Time to move on to the next great Internet distraction.
