Charter Spectrum Once Again Makes Subscribing to Cable TV and Broadband Internet More Expensive

Another price increase is coming for Spectrum TV and Broadband Customers

Spectrum announced that beginning next month their customers will see another rather large increase to their monthly bill

As it's often said, in life only two things are certain, death and taxes but we really need to add one more, constant price increases on Cable TV and Internet broadband. Because these constant price hikes are pretty much certain as well.

And Charter Spectrum announced that this October their Spectrum customers will be seeing another significant price increase on their cable TV packages, cable TV box rentals, and broadband Internet service.

Charter Spectrum October 2019 Price Increase

Here are the new prices that take effect next month:

Spectrum Broadcast Fee was $11.99/mo raised to $13.50/mo - This is for Local Channels which can also be received free from an antenna.

Spectrum Digital Adapter - Fee was $7.50/month now raised to $7.99/month - Each TV needs one of these. Using a Roku instead on each TV and subscribing to the their streaming channel only package or those from another provider will eliminate this fee.

Spectrum Cable TV Select - Fee was $64.99/month now raised to $72.49/month.[+$7.5] This is their base cable TV package.

Spectrum Cable TV Silver Package - Was $84.99/month now raised to $92.49/month. [+$7.5]

Spectrum Cable TV Gold Package - Was $104.99/month now raised to $112.49/month. [+$7.5]

Spectrum Broadband Internet Base Speed - Was $65.99/month and it will be $69.99/month. [+$4] This is without their Wi-Fi Router, renting their WiFi Router will raise the price an additional [+$5] to $75.99/month from $70.99/month.

This recent Spectrum price increase undoubtedly will anger some and cause them to cancel their cable TV service by looking at lower streaming options like Philo. Others may look for ways to shave costs by dumping extra cable boxes, adding an antenna or purchasing their own Router.

For the rest that only have Spectrum Broadband with limited options due to lack of competition in many areas. There is really no choice but to keep paying these higher fees. Year after year...
