The Qmedia app will let you access files directly from a QNAP NAS and play them on a Fire TV. If you have an Android TV Box like the smoking hot Nvidia SHIELD or other Android Clone, you can also use the Qmedia Android App to stream to these devices from a QNAP NAS. Apple TV owners, they also make a Qmedia TV Os app for your devices as well.
Roku owners can also add the Qmedia Roku Channel and stream from their QNAP NAS directly to a Roku. This gives you full access to your Photos, Music and Video files and lets you watch them right on your television from a NAS.
Qmedia is a nice easy to use app QNAP owners can use to watch their media files without setting up and using the much more complicated Plex or Kodi software.
Even though we really do love Synology's awesome DMS NAS software. Now that the QNAP has their Qmedia app available to work on most popular media streamers, it may be one more reason to seriously consider QNAP as your next NAS.
