New Roku Models All Support Screen Mirroring
In the past lower cost models like the Roku Express and Express + did not support screen mirroring.
All New Roku Models Now Support Screen Mirroring
With the latest Roku models released Fall of 2017, their entire line of Roku media streamers now supports screen mirroring as do their new 4K televisions and a select few 1080p TV models. The new Roku models now also support casting personal media to your TV with the Roku mobile app along with Screen Mirroring with Android and Windows devices.
How Screen Mirroring Works
With Screen Mirroring, you can stream what is playing on a compatible phone or tablet. Casting lets you watch it directly on your TV screen. This lets you use a Roku to play a lot of movies or files that may not even be available on Roku from a channel.
Screen mirroring also lets you cast an app right from a Android or Windows device and watch it using Roku Screen Mirroring on your large screen TV.
