Amazon Blocks Launcher Manager Fire TV - They Want You Watching Ads

Amazon Blocks Launcher Manager On Fire TV

They Want You Watching Their Ads

Fire TV Launcher Manager Blocked

Amazon has blacklisted Launcher Manager on Fire TV streamers. They want you locked Instead to their homescreen ads and likely will continue to block any apps that attempt to circumvent this. Launcher Manager let you launch apps from buttons set on the Remote directly bypassing the home screen. Many Fire TV owners are upset and now planning on dumping Fire TV in favor of Android media streamers.

Fire TV - It Really Is About The Ads

Silly cord-cutters, the Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV devices were never intended to be sold as inexpensive Android-based media streamers. This was by design to entice you onto their platform so they flood you with ads to purchase premium content and products.
The company even went as far as offering these streaming devices to consumers at a loss, just to obtain a major share of the streaming market.

It worked to a certain extent, and like any other good media streaming company that was more liberal in their content policies in the early days of streaming television. Amazon initially did not do much to crack down on content on its platform.
But this is slowly changing as they are now blocking users from installing certain apps like Launcher Manager based on an app's name.

Because profits are down at Amazon like everywhere else, they want to place more ads in front of their customer base. Never mind that many people bought the Fire TV because it was a cheap ticket to Kodi or IPTV. These customers never planned on subscribing to Prime Video or buying a bunch of things from the Amazon store.

They will also be the first owners to ditch their Fire TVs in favor of a more open, and more powerful Android streamer like an Nvidia SHIELD or Chromecast with Google TV.

Alternative Methods May Yet Become Available

While you may not want to give up completely on your Fire TV Stick 4K Max, or other Fire TV devices because new ways to bypass home screen ads may yet come to light. But if you can afford another type of Android Streamer, it may be a wise investment. Because it looks like Amazon is locking down their devices even harder to keep you watching their paid premium content even more.
