Looking to Dump DirecTV? Check This Out
Many are dumping DirecTV Satellite and Streaming in Favor of Cheaper Alternatives
With the economy, the way it is now is a great time to dump DirecTV. You can save a lot of money by choosing on-demand-only options. Or save a little less, and opt to choose a live-streaming version with possibly even more content than DirecTV.
Many Customers Are Leaving Since Newsmax Was Canceled
DirecTV angered many of its customers when AT&T recently canceled Newsmax from the DirecTV channel lineup even though the channel was very popular.
This may not have been the best move, and many rural customers may be yanking their DirecTV dishes in favor of an OTA (Over the Air) antenna, and or other streaming alternatives now that Elon Musk's broadband Starlink satellite service is up and running.
Best Live TV Streaming Options that Have Newsmax
If you are looking to save money and still would like to enjoy live cable channels here's where you can find Newsmax and OAN for considerably less than what DirecTV charges.
Newsmax can be watched for free on Apple TV or Android by downloading their apps. It can also be watched along with OAN and 30 other channels for as little as $2.50/month.
If you still subscribe to cable TV, Newsmax can also be watched on Dishnetwork, Version, Spektrum, Cox, Comcast, and other cable networks. Here's the full list of streaming and cable TV alternatives.
As they say in the streaming world when one site goes down other alternatives pop up. Unlike the past, when cable TV had a lock on TV programming and it was our only option.
If you're looking to get rid of your DirecTV service, there are several options available to you:
Cancellation: You can cancel your DirecTV service by contacting customer support. You may be required to pay a cancellation fee, depending on your contract terms.
Downgrade: If you only want to reduce your service, you can downgrade your package to a lower tier of service.
Transfer of Service: If you're moving to a new home, you can transfer your DirecTV service to your new address.
Equipment Return: If you're cancelling your service, you'll need to return any equipment that you rented or purchased from DirecTV.
It's important to keep in mind that there may be consequences for early termination of your contract, so be sure to read the terms and conditions of your agreement before making a decision.
