Amazon to Introduce Continue Watching Row from Other Apps to Home Screen on Fire TV

This much-needed feature will let you track and watch shows across different apps on a Fire TV

Rumors are swirling that Amazon may soon implement a much nicer version of Google TV's Continue Watching Row to their home screen of Fire TV.

About Google TV's "Continue Watching" Row

Google TV's "Continue watching" row is a useful feature that allows users to easily pick up where they left off on their favorite shows and movies. The row appears on the home screen of the Google TV interface, displaying a list of TV shows and movies that the user has started watching but has not finished.

By clicking on any of the titles in the "Continue watching" row, users can quickly resume playback from where they last left off, without having to search for the show or movie manually. This feature saves time and hassle, making it easier for users to continue enjoying their favorite content seamlessly.

Moreover, the "Continue watching" row is personalized for each user, based on their viewing history and preferences. This means that the row will display only the content that the user has watched or started watching, ensuring that they are presented with relevant recommendations and making it easier to keep track of their progress in each series or movie.

Overall, Google TV's "Continue watching" row is a helpful feature that enhances the viewing experience for users, providing them with a convenient way to pick up where they left off in their favorite shows and movies.

Amazon's New Version Of Continue Watching To Improve on This Even More

Android Police is reporting that Amazon's version of "Continue Watching" for Fire TV maybe even more advanced.

"Amazon's implementation may be superior to Google TV's watch history because it can reportedly track your viewing activity from other devices as well, such as your smartphone."

There has yet to be an official release date on when Fire TV users can expect to have this feature arrive, but once it does it will make the Fire TV even more useful.
