Apple TV Screen Saver Tip
The 4K high definition Apple TV Screen Saver on newer 4K models look incredible - This simple tip will make it even better!
One of the coolest things about the Apple TV is their high quality screen saver. It features different aerial fly over drone videos from some of the nicest places on the planet. Along with underwater scenes, and scenes shot from space high above the earth.
You can even cycle through the scenes one by one and read the description of each screen saver filmed location.
How to Make the Apple TV Screen Saver Shown The Location Sub Title
Apple instructions say to bring up the location, tap on the touch surface of your Remote control. That's great and all, but what if you use a 3rd party universal remote control?
Since not everyone uses the Apple TV remote. There is still an easy way to determine the location and show the subtitle on the current screen saver scene on a universal remote. Here's what you need to do:
1. When the Apple TV screen saver is playing on a scene, you would like to see the location. Click the right arrow on your 4/way remote control pad. This brings up the scene location subtitle. If you want to go back to a prior scene, click the left arrow button.
2. To change the scene once it shows the subtitle, click the right arrow again. This will change the scene to a new location and continue to display the location subtitle.
It's that easy, so now once you use this cool little tip, you can always use it any time they add a new scene and you want to learn the filmed location.
Here are all the current locations where the Apple TV screen savers scenes were filmed. They have scenes shot both day and night. Some locations added in their latest screensaver update both underwater and from space are not on the list.
Go to your screen saver in settings on your Apple TV to change when your screen saver should automatically refresh your screen saver. It will download new images and locations to your Apple TV from Apple Servers. To access these settings, open the settings app (Gear Icon), then go to General > Screen Saver.
There you can change which scenes should be displayed or hidden, and the frequency of when new scenes are downloaded from their server, delay time, etc. Or you can even build your own custom screen saver using Apple Stock photos or upload your own. You can also see all the locations for each scene from there as well.
