Broadband Cutting - The Next Logical Step?

Broadband Cutting - The Next Logical Step?

Now that The Cord Cutting Revolution is on track, Broadband Cutting could be the next step for those wishing to save thousands

Broadband Cutting Cheap Internet

In the U.S. 12 Million Households Canceled Their Wired Broadband Subscriptions in Favor of Mobile Only Broadband

There seems to be another cord-cutting revolution underfoot. Broadband cutting is picking up steam in the U.S.A. as more and more people are dumping expensive wired broadband subscriptions from high-priced cable companies in favor of less expensive wireless alternatives.

This could really have an impact on large cable companies who up until the past few years have had an almost unlimited market share from their monopoly-like status.

But in the next few years, this will heat up even more as we see additional options for broadband appear in the marketplace.

Already low-cost mobile providers like Cricket Wireless are offering 4 lines with unlimited data for $100/month.

Starlink satellite, a company Elon Musk started, is expanding its low orbit satellite coverage all over the world. This will be a broadband game-changer that together with the number of subscribers dumping cable TV, it will further erode large cable companies' profits.

5G The Next Big Thing For High-Speed Data

Mobile broadband is already acceptably fast for streaming, but the next big leap will be when 5G becomes mainstream. This will have a dramatic impact on The Internet Of Things as more and more devices we use every day will need access to the Internet.

Soon, your refrigerator, microwave, smoke alarms, toaster, and all kinds of home gadgets will be communicating online. In the next ten years the world as we now know it will look very different.

Faster Broadband at More Affordable Prices

Already the cost of broadband is higher in the USA than in many other countries. With new Internet technology to choose from, cable companies will either need to lower the cost of broadband or face being driven out of business. The old business model of simply raising prices to make up for sagging subscriber numbers will no longer be an option.

Broadband cutting will become the next big thing as more and more consumers are trying to manage their budgets with rising costs on stagnant wages. The cable monopoly is on its way out. It's really happening, and a few years from now big names we are all familiar with within the cable industry may either have merged or be gone from the landscape altogether.

In the end, broadband cutting makes too much sense. And deal shopping between Internet providers will soon become the new normal. So let the Broadband Cutting Revolution begin. It's long past overdue...
