Sideload Peacock App on Fire TV

Sideload the Peacock app onto your Fire TV and watch it Free today!

The peacock app on Fire TV is not yet available officially from the Amazon App Store. That's because Amazon and NBC could not come to an arrangement over how much of a cut they would get by users on their platform using the app.

The good news is you don't need to wait for the big boys to duke it out. You can sideload the app from the link below on a Fire TV and start watching free content right now from NBC.

How To Sideload Peacock on Fire TV

Before we begin you will first want to create a Free account from an Android phone or tablet using the peacock app. This will give you a free 3/month extended trial.

You can also try creating an account within the peacock app on a Fire TV but it has not been confirmed that it sends you an email with an extended 3/mo free trial.

But there is also plenty of free content on this app, so even if you don't want a free trial to the full app, installing it for just the free content is still vey much worthwhile.

Adding this NBC app to your Fire TV is just like adding other apps that have free content which are not found in the Amazon store. While some of these unsupported apps contain full length movies and TV shows that are often linked to content from the Internet. Some content is from pirated sources.

With the Peacock app there is no worry about illegal content because this is a 100% legal app. Just the method used to install it may not be the way Amazon would like you to use. But so far, they have done nothing to stop their users from sideloading apps using the following steps.

Step One: Preparing Fire TV for Sideloading.
a. Search on your Alexa remote for "Downloader" and install this app. This app must be used to download apps from sources on the net which are not in the Amazon App Store.
b. Now on your Fire TV settings screen, go to My Fire TV then Developer Options. This is where we must enable both ABD Debugging, and Apps from Unknown Sources. Or if your Fire TV is newer it may say Apps from Unknown Sources then in the next menu screen enable Downloader to ON.

Step Two: Download the Peacock app from APK Mirror - Click Here for to view the file.

Step Three: But to download it from within the Downloader app directly to your Fire TV you need to enter this shortened URL.

>>> https://bit.ly/nbcpeac

Here's how to add it: Open the Downloader app and be sure to click ALLOW when asked. Then on the left side in the orange menu bar click on Browser.

Then in the address bar to the right of GO type in the full bit.ly link shown above. This is a shortened URL that will directly download the latest version 1.6 of the NBC Peacock apk file directly to your Fire TV.

This app has been scanned for malware and viruses. But be careful when downloading apps from some unknown 3rd party sites. If an error comes up that says"Forbidden" double check that you clicked the Browser title and not the Home category of the Downloader app.

But if you typed in the link correctly, a new menu or window will pop up asking you to confirm the installation of the Peacock app.

Click install and open the app and sign in with your log in ID and password you created in the very beginning of this tutorial.

Finally you need to either power cycle your Fire TV or go to the Restart menu which can be found under Setting / My Fire TV. After it has rebooted, enjoy watching NBC Peacock on your Fire TV.
