30 Live Channels Added to The Roku Channel
Roku has been busy, with a recent software update "The Roku Channel" will receive a makeover and 30 more live TV channels added
There are now 100 FREE Live and On Demand Channels Playing on The Roku Channel
The latest update will bring Roku users another nice bonus, 30 more live channels have been added to The Roku Channel along with a newly redesigned user interface which will make it look more like a cable TV platform.
Roku is calling it an enhanced lean back experience where viewers can scroll through content and choose something to watch. This was one thing that cable companies and Viacom's Pluto TV does well.
Offering more live content and a grid type guide it lets viewers see what's playing on live TV. Roku hopes to coax more people to use their ad-supported TV platform.

When Roku rolls out a new update, they don't roll it out to every device at the same time. Rather they do it in phases. So it may take a while for the update to reach your particular Roku model.
But once it does, this update will bring a ton of great new features and the short wait to receive it will be worth it.
