You can also Click here for more help, with adding private channels.

Before you can add the channel, you will receive a pop-up warning notifying you that you are about to add a private channel.

This is something Roku implemented when adding private Roku Channels. This was because of shady channel developers who sold copyright programming to subscribers using the Roku platform. Roku has gone after them by aggressively shutting down their private channels and disabling their developer accounts.

But there are tons of useful private channels on Roku, and these can be added to any device by a special code or with an "add channel" link.

Private Channel Pop-Up Warning:

When adding private channels, users are greeted with the following pop-up which describes Roku terms:

"THIS IS A NON-CERTIFIED CHANNEL. Roku requires all channels to abide by Roku’s terms and conditions, and to distribute only legal content. Roku does not test or review non-certified channels. You acknowledge you are accessing a non-certified channel that may include content that is offensive or inappropriate for some audiences. Moreover, if Roku determines that this channel violates copyright, contains illegal content, or otherwise violates Roku’s terms and conditions, then ROKU MAY REMOVE THIS CHANNEL WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, AND YOUR ACCOUNT MAY BE BLOCKED FROM ADDING ANY OTHER NON-CERTIFIED CHANNELS."

To Proceed: Click OK, and then Yes add channel. The new private Free2View Roku channel like any other added private channel can be found at the bottom of the channels list on your Roku.

First need to check for updates after new private channels are added. To do this, on your Roku go to the menu under Settings/System/ and then Check for updates.
