Philo Soon To Be On Apple TV and Fire TV

The lowest cost live TV streaming service is branching out and will be on Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV media streamers as soon as this summer.

Philo is a Live TV streaming service that offers many great cable TV channels for a super low cost of only $16 a month.

By offering a nice package of live cable channels for quite a bit less than bundles from Sling TV, DirecTV Now, Playstation Vue, Youtube TV and Hulu Live, Philo was able to cut their price below everyone else.

They did this by removing expensive sports, news and local channels from their bundle. So if you can live without channels like ESPN, CNN and Fox News, you can get some great streaming TV channels like AMC, History and Discovery plus many more for only $16 bucks a month.

Philo is also turning on TV Everywhere authentication. This means once you pay for your Philo subscription, then any channel you receive with Philo can also be watched on any Roku or other media streamers you own using your same Philo password and login information.

This is really good news for those cord cutters who instead of owning a Roku, own an alternative Apple TV or Fire TV media streamer to watch their content.

Philo first rolled out it's lower cost bundle to Roku which was unusual in itself. Most other bundles first launched on Apple TV or Fire TV making Roku owners typically wait several months before the service was released on their platform.

Philo gives new subscribers a seven-day Free trial. You need to sign up via a text with a cell phone and they do not require any upfront payment or information for the first two days.
