Netflix the World's Most Popular Legal Streaming Service is Booming

In a recent report by ARK Investment Management, they are predicting that Netflix’s subscriber base will more than double in the next five years. By 2020 Netflix is projected to have 175 million viewers. In 2015, they had 75 million subscribers.

Netflix is currently undergoing aggressive international expansion of its streaming television and movie service. They are catering to a much larger worldwide audience. They now offer their service to over 190 countries across the planet. Currently China is the only country Netflix has not yet been able to market their content in.

The thing that is holding them back is lack of broadband internet in some areas. As this continues to improve, their market reach could expand even further.

Regional language based programming may be the ultimate limiting factor that will eventually put a damper on their plans for global expansion.

This growth is good for current customers as it will give the company more money to come up with unique and origianal programing. This will make having a cable TV subscription less important as viewers would rather binge watch content without commercials anyways.
