Backlight programming ranges from classic movies and television shows, live and classic sporting events, news and information to music, and lifestyle programming.
Some of the programming offered will be new and exclusive to Backlight certain to draw very large viewing audiences.

Each of the programming genres will have their own horizontal within the “Backlight” app making it easy for the viewer to locate and then drill down to the specific piece of programming they wish to view. Each piece of content will also have a short description so the viewer can have an idea of what the programming offers.
Backlight recently has also signed distribution agreements with Monarch Films, AMG TV, HBCUX TV, Eaton Square Productions and several others. They are producing a national "American Idol" like competition series for rappers called "One Shot" which will debut in February.
Backlight is also home to several Minor League Baseball, Basketball and Indoor Football leagues as well as D1, D2 and D3 college sports.
