New Roku Interface for Older Roku Streamers

Roku Is Rolling Out a New Graphical User Interface for Last Generation Roku Boxes

Much Anticipated New Interface Update Coming to a Roku Near You!

If you have not yet bought a Roku 3 and own the last generation Roku, and keep hearing about the new improved graphical user interface you are in luck. Roku recently released and started distributing the much anticipated new firmware update that sports a new tiled channel view.

Faster Roku User Experience and New Features

Last March when Roku released their newest streamer the Roku 3, they updated the software with new search features, a new look for the channels and also the Roku Store. At that time, they promised owners of the last Roku models a software update that would offer the same features. While many have been asking where the update is? It has now been released and should be available soon if not already.

If you not yet received your Roku software update, try this to get your Roku updated:

Select Settings > Software update > Check now on your Roku player.

Otherwise just relax and in the next couple of weeks your Roku will be updated with Software Version 5.0, build 804X in all regions.

Roku Models Supported

Roku 2 XS (model 3100) , Roku 2 XD (model 3050), Roku 2 HD (model 3000), Roku LT (models 2400 & 2450), Roku HD (model 2500) and the Roku Streaming Stick (models 3400 & 3420). (Note: Roku Search is currently available only in the U.S.)

This new software update unfortunately will not support earlier Roku models.  So if you own an older model than what is on the list, now is a great time to get a Roku 3 one of the best selling and most popular streamers available today.
