DirecTV Now Roku Channel is Here
Now You can Watch DirecTV Now on Roku, America's Favorite Streamer
It took them a while to make the DirecTV Now channel available on Roku, but it's finally here!
When DirectTV first launched a new streaming TV service, only Apple TV and FireTV owners were able to watch it initially on their devices. Now that the DirecTV Now channel has finally come to Roku, the good news is it works pretty well.
If you have not yet signed up for DirecTV Now, Roku owners will get a 30 day free trial. Otherwise you only get a seven day trial.
TIP: If you already tried a free trial and want to try again, just use a different email address and enter the promo code ROKU1MONTH for another free one month trial when you sign up.
Unfortunately Roku owners who did not own another streaming device missed out on the $35/month early promotional deal for 100 channels they were offering.
DirecTV Now Kudos
- The channel works really well on most newer Roku media streamers. If your Roku is older and underpowered, the channel may not work very well if at all. (See approved Roku models below.
- For $60/month you can have access to over a hundred cable TV channels on your Roku with no additional equipment to buy and no long term contract.
- Your DirecTV Now Account will let you watch on up to two devices concurrently.
- HBO added to your channels only costs an extra $5/month.
DirecTV Now Clunkers
- The amazing $35/month deal they offered early on for 100 channels is not available to Roku owners. To get the same amount of channels it will now cost you $60/month.
- You are still paying almost the same amount for what it would cost for a Cable TV sub which still has better quality and does not count against data caps.
