XBMC with Untethered 5.3 Jailbreak for 2nd Gen Apple TV with iOS 5.3

XBMC with Untethered Jailbreak for 2nd Gen Apple TV with iOS 5.11

Not much news on the jailbreak scene for the Apple TV 3. Sounds like it will be the hardest of all devices to jailbreak. Good news though for Apple TV 2 owners,  There is now an untethered jailbreak for software iOS 5.3 available for your Apple TV 2.

This will give you access to XBMC, which is the best Media Center software available on your Apple TV.

What does "tethered" mean? It means whenever you turn off your device it will need to be hooked up to a Mac/PC computer every time you turn it on.  If you have frequent power failures, an untethered jailbreak is the only way to go.

Here are some of the updated features in the latest version:

New Faster Visual Interface - Provides quicker access to all content.
National Geographic Screensaver - Beautiful photos built into the screensaver
iCloud Movie Purchases - Purchase movies and play them from AppleTV or iCloud
Partner Signup - Sign up from your AppleTV using you device ID to add partner content.
Content Recommendations -  Based on your past iTunes viewing history.

Be sure to check the plugins below to see if your plugin is supported. Some authors have not yet updated their plugins for iOS 5.
