Skitter TV is another service much like Aereo, and USTVNow which gives Roku owners another venue to watch live local and national television right on their Roku.

Currently SkitterTV offers about 80 national channels and local channels only in limited areas. When new users sign up from their website, they can input their zip code to see if they qualify for their local channel package. They required new customer to enter both a name and email address before they are told if they are in an area that SkitterTV provides local TV channels partnered with a telecommunications company.  Presumably, this is so they can notify you if your area of service becomes available at a future time.

Unfortunately, local channels were not available in our area so that's as far as we got. If you happen to live in an area where local channels are available from SkitterTV like Portland, OR. Their price is quite reasonable around $10 to $12 a month.

Their national channels are nothing to get too excited about, although they are currently working on signing up more channel providers. They do have a nice selection of music channels.

Picture quality, is reported to be somewhere between HD and SD. This is so they can stream content at an acceptable rate without using too much bandwidth. Useful for those broadband providers that impose a data cap and charge their users more when that cap is reached.
